TRAINING
New Volunteers must attend both Training I and Training II at
Hancock Biological Station

APRIL 7, 6pm-8pm, Thursday: Training I
- Team and site selection, water chemistry training at the Hancock Biological
Station, AND
APRIL 9, 9am-12pm, Saturday: Field Training II
- Habitat and Bioassessment training at the Hancock Biological Station, and at a
local stream
SAMPLING
MAY OR JUNE:
Habitat Assessment and Biomonitoring
Walk your stream site and see what lives in it. Assessments may occur over more
than one day, if you prefer.
MAY 5, 6, or 7
Herbicide and E. coli Sampling
Collect water samples for herbicide/pesticide and E. coli lab analyses on one of
these days
JULY 14, 15, or 16
E. coli Sampling
Collect water samples for E. coli lab analysis on one of these days
SEPTEMBER 15,16, or 17
Nutrient
Collect water samples for chemical lab analyses on one of these days
MEETING
NOVEMBER 10 Four Rivers Watershed Watch
Annual Conference and Dinner at Barkley Lodge
Review water quality data, question/answer period with invited speakers, and
dinner for your efforts!
